... Barry Forward is an Executive and Marketing Coach with 25 years business and executive experience including CEO, President and Board Director (public and private companies), Community Governance Board Member, Executive Vice President, and Vice President Marketing and Communications. He is experienced working with large corporations, early-stage start-ups, government agencies and the non-profit sector.
Barry has helped launch and manage companies as a senior executive, founder and advisor in a variety of industries including emerging technology (mobile, IT and clean-tech), the energy and natural resource sector and entertainment, as well as media, advertising and PR firms. Barry was formerly part owner and Executive Vice President of one of Western Canada’s largest public relations firms, Reputations Corp. He has been involved in numerous businesses and start-ups including Marine Drive Mobile, Broadburst Technologies and Showstar Online.com, and as a consultant has worked with Uniglobe Travel International, Walmart, IMAX Theatres, Greyhound Canada, Tim Hortons, the NHL Hockey Hall of Fame, Ministry of Finance (Canada), BC Human Rights Commission, City of Vancouver, Methanex, Burrard International, Western Wind Energy, Pure Power Global, Redrock Biofuels, Sonoran Energy, Pinnacle Mines, and Placer Dome Inc.
Barry provides clients with analysis, design, delivery, implementation, and evaluation of organization performance improvement strategies to facilitate personal, team and organizational transformation. In addition, Barry provides strategic coaching in the areas of Strategic Planning, Marketing Communications Management, Investor and Media Relations, Team Building, Facilitation Skills, and Corporate Development.
Barry is currently an elected School Trustee and Vice Chair of the North Vancouver School Board, a Commissioner for the North Vancouver Recreation Commission, and an advisor and coach with Deal Accelerators International Inc. Barry attended the University of Calgary, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trent University, and is a graduate of the Executive Coaching Program at Royal Royals University. Barry is a Certified Executive Coach, as well as a Certified Personality Dimensions® Assessment Facilitator.
